Recertification Policy

Version 1.0 · effective 1 June 2026

How to keep an AIPA credential valid beyond its term.

Why recertify

AI moves quickly. Recertification keeps a credential meaningful by confirming holders stay current, so the credential continues to signal real, present-day competence.

Cycle

CAIP is valid for three years from issue. Before it expires, holders complete recertification to renew for a further term.

How it works

Recertification is completed through your account. Requirements and any continuing-education or re-assessment options are shown there ahead of your expiry date, and you are notified in advance.

If a credential lapses

An expired credential is no longer valid and must not be represented as current (see the Mark Use Policy). Lapsed holders may recertify or re-sit as applicable.
