Accommodations Policy

Our commitment

The exam measures competence in AI practice, not speed of reading, typing or sight. If a disability, health condition, pregnancy, religious observance or other circumstance would stop the standard exam from measuring your competence fairly, we will make a reasonable adjustment. Accommodations are free.

What we can offer

Additional time (typically 25%, 50% or 100%), applied automatically to the server exam clock; supervised rest breaks; permission to use assistive technology such as a screen reader or magnifier; permission for a medical device or medication in the room; and other adjustments considered case by case.

Candidates whose first language is not English may request 30 minutes of additional time without supporting documentation.

How to ask

Request an accommodation from your account before you start the exam, describing what you need. Allow at least 10 business days for a decision. We may ask for supporting documentation from a qualified professional; it does not need to state a diagnosis, only the functional impact and the adjustment recommended.

An approved accommodation applies to all your future attempts on that exam unless your needs change or it was approved for a single sitting.

Decisions and appeals

Requests are decided individually by a person, with reasons. If we cannot grant exactly what you asked for, we will propose an alternative. You may appeal a decision (see Appeals & Complaints).

Confidentiality

Information about your accommodation is seen only by the staff who decide it and administer your exam. It is never shown on your result, certificate or verification record, never shared with an employer or organisation, and never affects how your attempt is scored.
