Appeals & Complaints

Version 1.0 · effective 1 June 2026

How to challenge a decision (appeal) or raise a concern (complaint), and how we handle each.

Appeals

If you believe a decision about your certification (for example, a result or a held/void outcome) was wrong, you may appeal from your account. Appeals are reviewed by a competent person who was not part of the original decision, and you receive a documented outcome.

Complaints

If you have a concern about AIPA, an exam, or a certified person's conduct, you may file a complaint. Complaints are logged, acknowledged, investigated impartially, and closed with a response.

Impartial handling

Appeals and complaints are handled without prejudice to the person raising them. Anyone with a conflict of interest in a case is recused from it.

How to file

Submit an appeal or complaint from the relevant page in your account, or contact us via the Contact page. Provide your credential or order ID where relevant so we can locate the record.
